Labi was a Kinshasa street dog. Congolese solders tried to set her on fire - you can see a black spot on her side! She was reduced in 2006 at a year old. Linc is new to the foreign service life - adopted from a La Paz shelter last October.
I think these two sum up how a lot of pets join their foreign service families. Someone sees a need and steps in.
